DNF @ 54%

Ugh. I hate to not finish a book when I’ve somehow managed to read over half of it but I can’t force myself to go on with this one any longer.

Beyond painfully boring! With every chapter, I thought to myself “This has to be the one something happens, right!?” and it just never did. Nothing happens. Ever. You will spend, at least 54% of this book,  either inside the heads of or in conversation with two of the blandest characters I’ve ever had the displeasure of reading about.

I really enjoyed the first couple of chapters. There was potential for a very entertaining and creepy thriller but something happened. Maybe it gets better, but it’s not worth it to me to find out.

Sloppy with the perspectives. Hard to follow on audiobook.

This book kept me guessing until the very end! Twin sisters that live in an isolated campground. Their neighbors daughter was murdered. Who murdered Tilly???’
Book kept me interested. But I wish it kept me more excited!

I picked this up on a whim with my buddy to end out the month. I spent the first 85% thinking I knew exactly where this was going and was almost predisappointed with the predictability. The back and forth timelines and diff POVS had me confused a bit. But then!!! The plot twist!!! 🤯 I did NOT see that coming and it made everything else fall into place. It was good! I believe this was the authors debut title so I’ll be interested in checking out her future books.

This book gives me Jevena Rose meets Frieda McFadden vibes. So many plot twists. Add in the drop in characters. Had me wondering who did and why the entire book!
