This book was just fairly unremarkable for me. It was pretty good but not amazing. The plot twists were slightly unexpected, but overall nothing that overly surprised or shocked me too much. The romance was pretty good for a mystery novel though. Just overall, there are much better mysteries out there that I enjoyed so much more than this one, like “the naturals” series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. I will recommend those books until the day I die. I would be advised because this is one of the darker “ya” mystery novels that I have read.
