Audiobook narrator is the only reason this gets any stars.

Starts out feeling like a more creepy 13 reasons then as always (with this author) the author seems to get horny and dumps sex scenes in and then with post nut clarity realises they don't actually have a antagonist and quickly makes up a ridiculous motive and flat character and wraps up act 3 really quickly.

This book was just fairly unremarkable for me. It was pretty good but not amazing. The plot twists were slightly unexpected, but overall nothing that overly surprised or shocked me too much. The romance was pretty good for a mystery novel though. Just overall, there are much better mysteries out there that I enjoyed so much more than this one, like “the naturals” series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. I will recommend those books until the day I die. I would be advised because this is one of the darker “ya” mystery novels that I have read.
