I thoroughly enjoyed this adorable romcom! It was well written. The characters were likable. (Except maybe Janise & Chad. But, you’re not supposed to like them! So, mission accomplished!) The story line was so cute! The setting was fun! & I loved the ending.

I absolutely LOVED this book! It is funny, it's cute, and the main characters are so perfect. Luke and Layla are our two MCs, and we get POVs from both of them. This is a friends to lovers office romance, with plenty of comedy to break up the angst.

Luke and Layla are such entertaining characters, and I found myself laughing a few times with their prank war and poor Nathan getting stuck in the middle.

Luke just about killed me with his sweetness, and I wish my husband had chocolate covered pretzels on hand for me whenever I need them too.

This is literally the cutest book I've read in ages, highly recommend.

I received this as an ARC from NetGally and this was an adorable office romance. It is absolutely adorable and a quick read. This was a slow burn and no spice but if you are okay with that then this is a good book! I really enjoyed the cuteness between the two characters and the natural romance that this book gave me.

So cute! There are a lot of Star Wars references and typically they annoy me as a non Star Wars person, but these were used so well that I was ok with them!

If you’re looking for a book with office romance, best friends to lovers and filled with miscommunication, this is it. And let me explain… two people who work together and are obviously in love with each other but because she overheard him saying he wasn’t looking to have anything with her, they only stay friends. Best friends. For years.
It’s not like it’s a bad story, it’s actually quite enjoyable and they’re so dorky and cute but the entire miscommunication ruined a bit the reading experience for me. We’re not talking about teenagers… They’re adults who are doing all the talk except the important one.
While all this is happening, they have this sort of claim for each other, which is a bit odd. “My Layla” “my Luke” and somewhat being in the middle of people interested in the other… The friends trying to set them up are the smartest people in the book.
However, their relationship is quite funny. They have their own world and are very cute together so despite all the things that I didn’t like, there were also a lot of moments that I enjoyed. I mean, how could I not like a book with so many Star Wars references?

Thanks to NetGalley for sending me an arc in exchange of my honest review.

Thank you Net Galley and Juliana Smith for the Advanced Reader Copy of Per My Last Email.

I previously read Baggage Claim by this author and it was one of my favorite reads of 2022, so when the opportunity came up to read her newest novel, I jumped with excitement.

This closed-door slow burn romance was absolutely delightful. Our FMC Layla and our MMC Luke both showed the true meaning of a loving friendship.

Even if we didn’t have the romance in this novel, this would’ve been a beautiful story, but with the added element of a long pining between our two characters, it was perfect. I loved that Layla and Luke had this adorable nerdiness to them that felt relatable and honest.

I absolutely loved this novel and would recommend to everyone who wants a cute workplace, best friends to lovers romance.

I'm a sucker for a friends to lovers book, but just a heads up that this one is clean. (That's just not my normal type of book.) The book did feel a bit juvenile to me, but I can feel the potential with the author's writing and I bet it'll get better with each cool l book she completes. The book was sweet, and there were definitely moments where I didn't want to put it down, but the end wrapped up in a way that was a bit boring.

4/4.5⭐️ this book was so much fun to read. I caught myself smiling, laughing and blushing the entire time while reading which doesn’t happen that often. I loved every single character well except Chad, Katie and Janise obliviously. When I found out that this book is the first book in the Wells family I was thrilled. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series and I will definitely check out the other books from Juliana aswell!!!

Ps: where can I find someone like Luke? Asking for a friend

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion!
