Cute but soooo cringe!! Jim and Pam fanfiction full of every trope you could think of, and a little too much “not like other girls” for my taste.
Not to yuck anyone’s yum but:”little one” as a term of endearment for a non-parental relationship? Gross.

Her books are like a breath of fresh air and so light and easy to read. Also Luke and Layla? What a power couple name

Don’t mind me… I’m just screaming from the rooftops about how much I LOVED this book.
Luke and Layla melted my heart a million times over. The constant back and forth, tip-toeing around each other harboring intense love for the other but to afraid to tell them in fear of losing their friendship. Luke paying attention to the small details, like keeping Layla’s favorite snacks in his desk drawer. Layla’s fierce determination that Luke would be her best friend regardless of what she heard him tell Nathan that first day.
This book made my heart swell 3 sizes. I felt so much love and grew attached to so many characters… except for Janise. Boo Janise. But also boo Chad and EXTRA boo Katie.

Per My Last Email is the ultimate nerdy love story. Layla and Luke were geeks to their core, and I LOVED IT!
So often, we nerdy types are portrayed as looking a certain way in TV shows and books. It was refreshing to see us represented as just normal people with certain likes in this book!
Add in a scene that reminds me of What Happens in Vegas with Lake Bell and Rob Cordrey, some serious pining, office pranks, clueless long-time friends, and a gaggle of side characters who force you to love them, and you have the recipe for a bingable RomCom!
(I would like to request Adam's story be written very soon thank you very much!)
Favorite quotes:
"Death by hot stranger was not what I had planned for my epitaph."
"Three years, thirteen years, thirty, I don't care; I would've waited them all if it meant I could have you."

You had me at "Jim and Pam inspired". This book was so cute and just gave you warm fuzzies and swoony feels throughout. I loved the coworkers/friends to lovers dynamic and loved the supporting characters as well! I also appreciate main characters that aren't afraid to let their inner nerd out. This book just left a smile on my face reading it throughout and I really enjoyed it.
