HOLY COW I DONT HAVE WORDS. She did it again. amazing, I could not put this book down. I love them the guy falls first. This book cemented for me that friends to lovers is such a great troupe.

This book gave me all the fuzzy warm feels I needed. I will be back to write a more cohesive review in a few days.

BUT ADD THIS TO YOUT TBR, PRE ORDER do all the things

Listen if Juliana writes I’m gonna read it because I KNOW it’s going to be good. She never disappoints. Every story feels makes me so happy! And PMLE was no different. This was friends to lovers, with little to no tension was exactly what I needed. Do not get me wrong, I LOVE some good tension. And Luke and Layla had some, but it was small, and mostly because of timing and it made sense for them.

Luke and Layla are, uncomfortably, in the friend zone with big feelings towards each other. But neither of them want to risk what they have. But now with job changes and feelings of “why not” and a work trip they both decide now is the time.

They were SO SWEET. They know each other so well and they aren’t afraid to show it. They have so much fun together! All of their office pranks and inside jokes! And when they put it all on the line for each other…it made me so happy!

I liked that it took them getting out of the regular routine to kind of get things really moving. And not just with their feelings, Layla’s writing really got going while they were away too. It was exactly what they needed!

I love Luke’s family! I’m so excited for all of the siblings to get their own stories! And I hope this means we get to see Layla with them more because I love that she got the family she deserves in them, and I want to see more of her with all of them!

And Nathan was honestly amazing. He was such a  good friend to both of them! He was cheering them on, making things happen. And I am so happy that his story with Calla is next!!

Thank you so much to Juliana Smith and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
