Everybody has deep scars and wounds, some physically and metaphorically speaking. Such depth in this volume and it makes me excited for the whenever Volume 4 is released. The ending hints at more lore and history behind monsters and vampires, so I assume that's what the next will be about ehehe! Sugi has been one of my favorite characters throughout the series and his gentleness to En is endearing. Stellar art, graphics, storyboarding—it all just flows so well. The smut doesn't distract from the characters, mood, or plot. By far a favorite BL series for me, and I'll recommend it any day!

This volume was an extremely fast read this time around. The others felt fairly slow by comparison but this one I read very quickly, and it was over before I knew it.

It's honestly interesting that we get more of an insight into Ichii's backstory here, and finally some explanation about the vampire community's initial reactions to En when he was first Turned and debuted. I won't go into details to spare you the spoilers, but this volume does answer some questions and we get two very fascinating developments.

I will say that for the most part, this volume could be taken as the final one if you didn't want to read past this point. The story is going to continue; there's even a page in the back of the book that says volume 4 should be on its way. But all things considered, this does wrap up things. Perhaps not 100% perfectly, but well enough it could be taken as an ending if you wanted. As for me, I'll keep on going with it.

I feel like this is an end and a beginning for this series becuase it feels like En and Ichii's story is done in a way but at the same time the world building has just begun.

These past three volumes have really focused on En's unique experiences with becoming a vampire and what that can mean in terms of loneliness. The cast thus far has helped us see different types of families and circumstances vampires can find themselves in allowing for strangely philosophical story between scenes of corn.

At the very ends, in an almost avengers mid-scene credit we the readers are left dangled on the ledge to a very interesting and unexpected piece of world building. Some might not want to jump as it does take away from the typical plot a story like this would take but I'm intrigued.  En and Ichii feel like a prologue to a much larger story so I'm curious as to what will happen next.

From what I've research and stalked thus far the magazine that is punishing this series only releases six times a year so I know it's likely we'll be waiting till 2026 for the next volume but I'm looking forward to it.
