I am unsure how to rate this book.
Hermione and Gregory's reaction where way to similar. As if everyone will use just the same word to describe a feeling.
Lucy on the other hand ... I really do not understand her at all. Her act to please everyone was just so extrem.
Lord Hasleby wasn't what I would be expect. Sure I think in the book series it is the first time mentioned that their are homosexual mens in existence. But it doesn't seem to be as secret as you should expect in this time.
I think it just wasn't my book to read this time around. The characters where without any color and live. As if it were paper figures we want to act one way or another.
Personally the last chapters where the exciting ones and also the second epilouge. Everything else not so much...

While the romance didn’t jump out for me, the pacing and the plot kept me entertained! My second favorite book in the series

I'm giving this series an over all rating of 3. Some are better than others but all are slightly better than average regency romance. If you like regency romance, you'll really like these.
Here's my ranking of these books from best to worst.
When He Was Wicked
It's in His Kiss
To Sir Phillip, With Love
The Duke and I
Romancing Mr. Bridgerton
The Viscount Who Loved Me
An Offer From a Gentleman
I would not read these books back to back like I did. They were still good but there were several phrases and themes that were repeated throughout the series that might not annoy you as badly as they did me if you read a book or two that isn't written by the same author between each one.

Definitely not my favorite but still an enjoyable read. I feel like this book could have been a few hundred pages shorter.

I honestly got a little teary as I was wrapping up the 8th and final Bridgerton book. These books are so full of joy and mirth and familial love, even as they are also packed with salacious details. Gregory and Lucy’s story also felt like it was the most...integrated with the rest of the family’s. The weekend house party at Anthony and Kate’s. Daphne extending an invite to Lucy in London. All kinds of gossip and scandals I can’t mention here without spoiling it but which reference Benedict and Colin and Eloise’s love stories. Hyacinth’s directness also plays a role here, and I adored seeing Violet help direct her youngest into a happy marriage. And Gregory and Lucy were just...SO GOOD TOGETHER?! AH I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH. Actively hunting for a very nice set of paperbacks so I can buy it and reread it forever. What a joy.

Abso-friggen-lutly adorable and I’m so in love. If my further husband isn’t like Gregory, then I don’t want it.
