Oh man.....I sure hope some things change for the better in book 3. This one took nearly 200 pages before it got really exciting. Then the twist at the end leaves me worried...

This book was so much better than I remembered. Eragon still makes me so irritated and all of his training is pretty boring. Despite that Nasuada and Roran really make this book. They are both such cool characters and so inspiring and bad ass. I remembered the end of the book being super sad but it honestly was much cooler than sad. First, Roran showing up is iconic. And second, Murtagh being alive is a game changer.

Gave it a shot after the travesty of of the first book and I'll never get that wasted time back. It reads like a 14 year olds alternative universe Lord of The Rings fanfiction.
