Overview
How it works:
- Choose one of your favourite books — this will be your Book 0. You may want to reread this book first, but this step is optional.
- Go to the profile page of the book and click on ‘browse similar books’. This will show you a list of books that Storygraph thinks are similar to your Book 0. Choose a book from this list to read — this will be your Book 1.
- Then browse books similar to Book 1 and choose your next read from this list.
- Proceed in this fashion until your reach the end of the snake!
Additional points:
- You can choose your reads in advance or as you go, but the chain cannot be interrupted. Every book in the challenge has to come from the ‘similar books’ list on its predecessor’s page (with the exception of Book 0).
- If you don’t like the book you chose, that’s okay! You can scrape it and choose a different one from the list. Just make sure that the following book comes from the ‘similar list’ of this new book. (This applies if you planned your whole snake in advance.)
- You don’t need to read the whole snake in one go. You can mix it up with other books. The books in the challenge should however be read in order (Book 0, 1, 2, and so on.)
