Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas

FINALLY FINISHED. 🙌🏼✨ three (!!!) years after starting the throne of glass series, i have come to the end, feeling all kinds of emotions for the characters and the world i came to truly love over time. (it really did take time though!)

this was a near perfect conclusion to the series, wrapping up storylines beautifully and poignantly, telling sweeping stories and tugging on my heartstrings with all its talk of a better world. the themes are DEEP in this one, and i looooved it.

these characters, y’all, they’re just SO GOOD. they feel like family now, but i guess when you spend hundreds and hundreds of pages with them each book in the 7-book series, that’s what happens. i’ll love this crew forever, especially its leading ladies. 🥹

phew. what a journey. glad i stuck it out and made it through the slower start to the series and the tandem read of books 5 and 6 and the 900+ pages of this one to see these storylines through to their glorious ends.
