Crank Palace by James Dashner
5.0
This book is even more heart breaking than the death cure.
This book reminds me of why I love Newt's character so much while reading the maze runner series. He's so selfless and always the one that bring everyone together and I love that about him.
It can be seen from this book how entirely selfless he was. We can know the reason why he went away so that his friends don't have to see him go crazy but it teared him up inside and how he use every last scrape of sanity he has to help Keisha be reunited with her daughter because he wanted to do one last good thing with his life.
Even though I know I had to read his death all over again, this book still manage to makes me cry in the end. He's a really good person and the fact that he wasn't immune just made me angry all over again.
Overall, this is a great novella and felt highly emotional for me. The ending has a great closure for Newt himself and I really enjoyed my time reading these characters again.
