I simply cannot think of another set of books that have brought so much pure joy and happiness into my life. "Anne of Avonlea" took a little bit longer to become totally engrossed than "Anne of Green Gables" did, but it got there. The turning point for me was the chapter where she shares the letters she had her students write to her.
