Anne of Avonlea by L.M. Montgomery
5.0
My only complaint about this one was Davy. He needed to be spanked. Other than that I enjoyed Anne's new adventures and I look forward to the next book. I think I already own it so that is a plus.
-Anne was a sweet-souled lass, but she could instill some venom into innocent italics when occasion required.
-"Well, we all make mistakes, dear, so just put it behind you. We should regret our mistakes and learn from them, but never carry them forward into the future with us."
-"Living so that you beautify your name, even if it wasn't beautiful to begin with...making it stand in people's thoughts for something so lovely and pleasant that they never think of it by itself."
-"...and I never want to to stray from my own vine and fig tree again." (Love the Hamilton reference!) (okay maybe it is from the Bible...)
