For once, I enjoyed how fast paced a book was. I think this is the perfect read to get you out of a slump because it's not too messy but has just enough drama to keep you hooked. There were things that irked me like
how it was more of an instant attraction thing than an enemies to lovers and Ben's obsession with her shoes (lowkey weird)
but I'm willing to look past that (erase it from my memory) in favor of the cuter scenes- case in point:
him shoveling her mother's garage.

They were basically a nicer version of Lucy and Joshua from The Hating Game.

  • workplace romance
  • rivals to lovers
  • forced proximity
  • who did this to you/ why didn't you tell me
  • banter
