i think this is bad honestly

a lot of the three star reviews are comparing it to A Little Life and the only thing I really feel at the end of this is that I now can rest easy knowing that I will never read A Little Life. I also think that it's not really a fair review but I'm not these people I'm me.

There is certainly a level of technical skill involved in this book and I even understand it on some level. I think that the world she painted is vivid and evocative and purposeful and there's no technical flaw in it. It's just a drag and from an idea standpoint kind of a mess.
