My jaw is dropped and my brain is exploding. I’d heard good things about this book and knew I needed to read it but… WOW this has me spiraling. I swear the whole last 15-20% of this book had me on the edge of my seat ready to burst.

- Oraya is a great protagonist, she is strong and fierce and I loved that we could learn so much about her early on, and yet we still learn more over the course of the book.
- The trials are a classic plot device, but this was done so well because we get a nice balance of trial activity with all the messy drama in between.
- Raihn. Love to love him, love to hate him, love him.
- The end of the final trial had my jaw fully dropped and my anxiety spiked. My trust decayed and my heart no longer knew what to believe. But all I know is that I NEED to get the next one STAT.
- I was, at first, put off by the plot twist at the end, but I also appreciate the way that it was semi-predictable from little hints throughout the story to that point. And I honestly think it’s genius and now I am eager to know where they go from here.
- Also the audio narrator was excellent, I really enjoyed listening along to my ebook reading.
