I have had this on my shelf for months and finally broke into it. This was good, but not great. I fell into the trap of hype. This is definitely a solid and entertaining read (I mean, that is a VERY colorfully descriptive TW list at the beginning). I really enjoyed that seamless combination of darkness and humor. Dark rom-coms are easily a favorite of mine and fit well with my sometimes morbid sense of humor. The banter is great, the characters are well written, and the premise is very interesting. Also, I was expecting WAY more from the whole cookies and cream ice cream situation I heard so much about. Was it gross? Yes. Was it the absolute worst? Meh. All that to say, I did have fun reading this, and I'm glad I finally did.
