Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison

3.5

So glad I finally picked this up, even though it's no longer Christmas season!
Lovelight Farms is a friends-to lovers romance and I haven't delved in properly to this trope but it really had me smiling and giggling, it was so cute! It was nice change from reading enemies-to-lovers all the time.
Unfortunately what let this book down for me is Stella, our FMC. I just feel like she doesn't listen to Luka when he explains his true feelings. It's obvious she is trying to protect herself and that is understandable, but I just feel like the self-sabotage was off the scale. Otherwise I really enjoyed both of their personalities and romance between them.
I also thought that the influencer storyline would come in a lot sooner, Evelyn actually arrived at the 60% mark in the book, and I wish this wasn't as dragged out. But I actually really liked the little mystery plot lines with the plethora of things going wrong with the farm and also the family of 'racoons'. I'm really hoping too that Beckett gets his own book because I enjoyed his character so much.
I did like this book a lot, loved the writing style, there were just a couple issues I had with the pacing but I am so excited to continue on with this small-town romance series with the next book In the Weeds
