Real Americans by Rachel Khong
5.0
4.5⭐️ This was a compelling, engrossing read. I loved the structure of the novel, and I found the writing style unique in a way that made me want to keep reading. The first half of the book was the strongest part for me, but each section (Lily, Nick, May) all had poignant parts (and in the case of May, extremely informative as I really don’t know much about the Cultural Revolution). I feel like the book lost some momentum towards the end, but the story was still woven together in a clever, satisfying way. Definitely recommend.
