i was going into this expecting it to be a lot like other stories where MC falls in love with a "villain" where in actuality, most of the villain's actions are somewhat justified, especially if you are slightly unhinged like myself. this was not one of those stories. cole truly is a villain. he kills with no true motive other than inconvenience. it is due to this, i feel like i enjoyed this more than others. i love how strong mara is. she is such a badass and so intelligent. this is a phenomenal read if you can handle the content.
