Immortal Longings by Chloe Gong

3.5

Loved the concept, tolerated the execution of it. Honestly, there was so much world building/info dumping that the plot barely moved for the first 200 pages. Like the same things kept happening and it felt like filler for the whole first half. But the last 100 pages were great, the action picked up and I really like where the story headed by the end.
I also didn’t care about the romance? Felt kind of out of place and insta-lovey for characters who wouldn’t normally have that kind of approach. Just felt a little unnecessary.

I plan to read the next one, but hopefully it moves faster than this one.
