Oh, Piper! My darling Piper! This book made me cry and clutch my chest and I just fell in love with the story and it’s fierceness 

The goodness inside:
Children’s academic decathlon
Gifted and talented kids
The isolation of being smarter / more advanced than your peers
Age appropriate discussion of intersectionality and privilege
Young feminists realizing the world is not built to empower and support women and femmes and discovering that systemic oppression is reality and it sucks 
A new baby and a new stepdad and a sister who isn’t around and a mom who can’t give you attention you need
What happens when you focus on honesty instead of always choosing “niceness”

Tons of medical content but so fascinating to me because I was previously unaware of precocious puberty
