Frieda never disappoints.  This one had so many ups and downs.  Brooke is an NP and she gets a job at the prison that her attempted murderer was sentenced to.  She’s not ready to see him when he comes to her with a head injury.  He continues to declare his innocence.  To say their interactions are strained would be an understatement.  This book is so tense and exciting!  And, as always, FMcF is the queen of twists!
