The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin

5.0

A second 5-star read from Gabrielle Zevin! After reading and loving Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, I knew I wanted to read another book from Gabrielle Zevin but I've got to be honest, a lot of her books do sound a bit too heavy and depressing and I would need to be in the right mood. But I was instantly intrigued by this book, The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry, and whilst there are a lot of heavy parts in this story, there is a beautifulness that Gabrielle Zevin captures so perfectly. I came to care for these characters so so much and I was full-on sobbing by the end of the book. It is so well written and I loved the introductions to each chapter with A.J's notes to Maya.
I really don't have much at all to critique of this book, hence the 5-stars and short review, but I just really loved this short book and would highly recommend this to a wide audience.
