“In the end, people are only able to think and feel within the limits of the “system”, the specific culture of the society they belong to. Notions like artistic value and beauty are inevitably shackled by that system, and even the words we use are dictated by it.”

The Mill House Murders by Yukito Ayatsuji

QUICK SUMMARY 🖊️
Every day on the same year a small group of acquaintance visit a remote castle just so they can glimpse the works of their favourite artist. Even after the two deaths last year the group can’t stay away. But an unannounced visitor brings questions about the deaths last year.

FINAL THOUGHTS 💭
Japanese Mysteries are a new fave of mine to read. After reading the first book by this author last year I knew it wouldn’t be my last. These quick reads bring locked room mystery for those who don’t want the jumpy thriller atmosphere. With the who dunnits you didn’t see coming.
