A romance with palpable tension and character growth.
I love the author’s writing style; her word choice is beautiful and evocative. Overall, this was a solid book and I do intend to continue on with the duology when book 2 comes out.
This leaves you on a cliffhanger, which I’m hoping will have book 2 becoming more plot-based than romance-based because of all the little seeds that were planted in book 1.
The steam and tension were sizzling between the two MCs and the way it was drawn out was 🥵🔥
I loved how short the chapters were—it made it a quick read.
A few moments/issues were brushed over too quickly though, and I think some of them should have been dived into a little deeper.
•Hades and Persephone retelling
•Dual POV
•Touch starved FMC
•Enemies to Lovers
•Slow burn
