Enticing by Bella Matthews
4.0
Enticing is such a highly engaging, fun, swoony read!
I ate this one up in pretty much one sitting. It's addicting!
For me, Addie is the star of this book. Her arc is so beautifully written, I felt so proud seeing her reclaim her confidence and agency, and, most of all, how she learned to trust again. She blossoms in this book and becomes so inspirational. She deserved the world, and luckily, Leo wants to help her achieve just that.
Leo is the best golden retriever mmc. He single handedly turns that marriage of convenience trope around by being so upfront in how much he wants and desires Addie, and how ready he is to protect her and her girls. His girls. The man was all in from the start, and I adored him for it. At times I did wish he was a little less perfect and infallible, but then he'd have a sweet moment with Lennox or Izzy and I wanted him to remain just as he was. Something not all single parent romances include is the love interest bonding with the kids, and I so appreciated how much this book focused on Leo's bond with the girls.
I do feel the ending was a bit rushed, and I was left wanting more, but honestly, that just shows how much I engaged with this story. I would gladly take another 100 pages! I was all in with this one and it's left me wanting to explore all of Bella Matthews works.
Leo, Addie, and their girls make up a beautiful family-- and I'm so glad I was treated to their story.
This one's a winner!
