The Hurricane Wars by Thea Guanzon
4.0
Once you get through the somewhat confusing world building of the first 100ish pages, the rest of the book is fun and captivating
- I think my main issue with the world building here is that it is uses so many fantasy terms all at once that it feels like it's impossible to think/interpret things clearly. I had so much trouble visualizing at first because the world building was intricate and everything was described using other fantasy terms, which doesn't help.
- More dragons, please
- The sexual tension is so thick - the actual hatred and constant bickering isn't usually my favorite but I was enjoying it here. It's going to make for a very interesting sequel
- This is such a political fantasy with the larger issues revolving around wartime conquest and political alliances
Tropes
- Enemies to... well, reluctant allies
- Arranged Marriage
- Fated Mates?
