I don't get it. I don't understand why this book is beloved by so many. I found it boring. I found it rather pointless. In some ways, it reminded me of The Cather in the Rye, which I also found rather lackluster. Maybe it's the coming of age theme without any real plot? Yes, that's most likely it.
