Reading this just makes me even mor excited for book 2, The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King coming out in April 2023!

In under 200 pages, the author manage to give a well written fascinating plot with loveable characters!
I usually wish there’s something more when reading a novella, but this one just has the perfect length to tell the story.

The story really brings out the Beauty and the Beast vibes, some scenes and elements really reminds me of the Beauty and the Beast movie.

I also like the growing relationship between the two main characters, Vale and Lilith.
It's not instant, they form a bond by getting to know each other through books. I love seeing them work together doing experiments to save the town from a plague.

The ending was surprising, it's unexpected and had me second guessing will it have a happy end or not. Suffice to say, I feel satisfied with how everything turns out in the end.

Overall, this is a captivating story that will satisfy readers who are looking for a quick and well developed fantasy romance novella!
I’m REALLY looking forward to see what role Vale and Lilith will have in book 2!

I received an advanced review copy for free from the author, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Huge thank you to BOMM tours for having me on this book tour.
