An Academy for Liars by Alexis Henderson
2.0
Oof, at some point, one of Evernight's books had to disappoint me. I didn't expect it to be this one, to be honest. A 2/5 for me.
The writing felt very YA for this kind of book. It's tagged as horror, but it has nothing that screams horror to me. Not even the setting.
The first few chapters, up until the first elevator, had an eerie feeling, but after that, it's like that feeling disappeared.
Most of the characters were subpar and poorly developed, and you could feel all the plot twists coming from miles away.
I'm glad I switched to audiobook for this one, as this would have been a DNF around 20% if not.
