The murder mystery plot is really taking way too long to solve in a way that makes me feel like once we finally solve it. I will not be satisfied with who the killer is because it’s just required so much buildup. I am only going to be disappointed that being said, I did enjoy Book ones lead guest appearances, and this book had very solid, main female character, as well as a solid male lead. I do wish there was more explanation on why he was ever part of a gang to begin with, and his relationship with the gang more flushed out as it feels a little like , we’re supposed to believe that and he was just a part of it and it was all fine and dandy. Also, I don’t know if I missed an in book one but these new bad guys that aren’t gang members threw me off and I feel like they’re going to be the new main antagonists to cause problems but it just gave me kind of a whiplash in terms of like “there’s a new (bad guy) sheriff in town”.
