This book is simple, sweet, and the perfect cozy fantasy to snuggle up with when you're feeling the autumn vibes. Viv is such an interesting protagonist to follow. Her character has depth and is so well written. The world building in this universe is so intriguing as well. I loved the little community that forms in this book. An almost found family if you will. This story really felt like a love letter to books and the stories they contain, and the ways they can impact us. I absolutely adored that. Viv is healing from an injury in this story, but as time goes on, she is also healing mentally. Fern and her perfect book suggestions are a big player in Viv's journey.

I listened to the audiobook for this, and I HIGHLY recommend it. Baldree does an amazing job in creating unique and identifiable voices for each character. It's so varied and made the listening experience so interesting. It was easy to stay with the story. All in all, this is a good one that I had a lot of fun with.
