Merry Ever After by Tessa Bailey
funny
fast-paced
- Strong character development? No
- Diverse cast of characters? No
2.0
I really wasn't planning on reading more from Tessa Bailey after disliking her latest release, The Au Pair Affair, but this was in a Christmas collection and I'm going to try and give all these short stories a go.
Unfortuantely her writing was as cringy as ever and it's just not the spice for me. In terms of the 'relationship' in the book the development was insanely fast, even for a 59 page short story, I was taken aback.
Aside from the character dialogue and some word choices, the writing actually isn't bad and you can tell that Tessa Bailey is a seasoned writer. Sadly she's just not the romance author for me but this at least gave me a good laugh.
