Richard Osman is back and with a new series! plus a cat called Trouble 🥹
This was a lot more action-packed than what I was expecting and in comparison to TTMC, it's not necessarily what I gravitate towards in books but I found the plot very entertaining. You are introduced to a lot of characters but I got to grips with it quickly. Even though it's more intense, there is still a cosiness and the typical slow English lifestyle here and there in the book.
There's a lot of comedy, and there's a lot of heartfelt moments (and I cried, several times). I fell in love with the sweet relationship between Amy and her father-in-law Steve, and with all the characters we are introduced to along the way. Richard Osman excels at characters, their relationships and humanity, this was exactly what I needed and I'm looking forward to this series continuing on.
