Tibby doesn’t trust anyone but herself.  She meets a stranger, and, due to weather, she ends up traveling with him.  She never lets her guard down.  She just wants to make it to her friend’s place safe and sound, but someone has different plans for them.  The narrators were great, especially the voice of Tibby!  I could sense her fear and cynicism as she navigated her options.  They kept the story smooth and easy to listen to.  Their cadence was even making it good for readers that like a faster reading speed.  I love KMod and have read/listened to many of her novels.  This one was not my favorite.  I liked the story and the characters.  I had high hopes for it.  But the ending left me deflated and disappointed.  The story was great and kept me wanting to listen and try to figure out what was happening, but then it ended and I asked myself “What?! That’s it?!”  I listened to the last few chapters three times to make sure I didn’t miss something.  I am still a KMod a fan and will read more! This one just fell flat for me.
