This was a fun time exploring bone magic and ghost magic and creepy haunted forest vibes. I definitely will plan to read the second book in the duology.
- This feels like a vibes only kind of book. It’s pretty simple in writing and structure. But the world building is really cool and the magic is also cool
- Wren is a great fmc, she is very relatable and also a badass when she deals with all the mess that is handed to her
- Leo was a really fun side character that I liked getting to see in his own experiences a little
- This is very predictable. The twists/reveals aren’t really that shocking but I think it’s done pretty well
- The ending has some pretty info-dumpy scenes that made the last portion of the book feel slower to get through
