ate and left no crumbs (get it because cake)
Thoughts:
Paisley: she was such a sweetheart girl boss loved her- like as an eldest daughter I could sympathize with her trying to keep it together for her family's sake but I loved her arc and the way she grew as a character even if it felt a little fast forwarded- she had an actual personality, was smart and funny and while she kept an 8 (???) year grudge I would've too so I get it girl. (it was giving Beach Read by Emily Henry)
Klein: kinda annoying at the start but grew on me- I'm happy he acknowledged his insecurities and actually tried working through it instead being a baby about it (he was at times) plus a man who knows how to communicate and appreciate his girl every opportunity he gets? yum.
Side characters: Paloma, Cecily, Halston, Klein's mother, Eden (Klein's sister), Paisley's grandmother- everyone had small roles but they shined in them they were all the sweetest- I especially loved the ending with Halston such a cute little detail
Sienna: disliked her but also felt bad for her because you could tell she was trying too hard
Not so good things:
what happened to shane? what happened with Klein's dad? (maybe this was explained and I forgot)
everything wrapped up really quickly especially with her mother and father- wish that had more development since it had such a toll on her + Klein's ex thing felt like unnecessary drama- the story could have done without it
the tweets were cute
a feel-good summer romance which should def be read on a beach- gives adult Summer of Broken Rules energy
like the tropes were there but they didn't feel forced in more like when you watch a rom-com and see the trope and go 'of course there's only one bed' *rolls eyes while smiling*
