I really like this type of book. Cute and adorable while also emotional.
I will say I listened to it on audiobook, sped up, and felt like that would be frowned upon by this author LOL. But it's the way my brain works and I think I have just as much love for books as the next reader who takes their time flipping each page.
Empathy is definitely the theme here and this book strongly aligns with my personality. I loved what was said on reading books that challenge you. It's ok if you don't understand everything in a book right away because that means you're learning.
This story is a feel-good, easy read and it moves fast. A bit thoughtful but very simple, and suitable for young readers. Would recommend especially if you like cute stories about quiet kids making friends and coming out of their shell. Or if you like books about books. Or books about cats. It checks every cute category~
