This was very good.
The characters are frustrating, yet I found myself so attached to them. I felt rather depressed during (and after completing) this audiobook but it was still a good experience. The development was good even though sometimes it felt like the story was going in circles. It did follow patterns of some rather unhealthy choices. But somehow that made me love both characters more because it's easy to love their human flaws and neediness. This is an honest, heartbreaking book.
