The Veiled Kingdom by Holly Renee

5.0

Running from the only life she knows Nyra, a princess, has only known physical pain and loneliness since her mother’s death. Now living on the streets and looking for a way to escape the kingdom she is soon captured by the rebels that her father has fought his whole life to destroy. She can not let them find out her true identity, she must fit in if she has any hope of living. However, her incredibly swoon worthy captor Dacre is making it impossible to go unnoticed. How can she fit in a world that she is supposed to loath when all she can think about is the one she hates and desires the most? Can she keep her true identity a secret from those she has formed the only bonds she has known since her mother?

This book had me captivated, obsessed, and craving more. The end emotionally gutted me…. and I want more. I can’t wait for the next in the series. I would love to see Nyra find more of a healthier love connection, one that she deserves and is not mentally abusive.
