I chaos read this series... I think I did book 4, then 3, then 1, and finally 2. So this was the end of the series read for me. I'm glad I read 1 before this, I do think they benefit by being read in order. 3 and 4 are more standalone although the events do follow in order. I really liked the FMCs in books 1 and 2. They're a great pair. And I enjoyed that the books are unapologetically feminist and the characters speak out against misogyny.
It was enjoyable and the mystery and twists were entertaining. Plus there was a bit of adventure/action at the end.
🌶️ 2.5/5 Only one explicit scene with a couple other "some stuff, then fade to black" instances.

Graphic: Misogyny, Sexism, Kidnapping, and Classism
Moderate: Confinement, Sexual content, Violence, Stalking, and Sexual harassment
Minor: Death, Infidelity, Grief, Murder, Alcohol, and Injury/Injury detail
The infidelity in the book is with side characters, not the MCs or those close to them.
