Heartsong by TJ packpackpack
This is book 3 in the Green Creek Quartet. Green Creek, Oregon is home to one of the most powerful werewolf packs in America, the Bennetts. Each book tells a new part of the story from a different character's perspective.
Heartsong is Robbie Fontaine's story. Robbie first arrived in Green Creek as a representative of Alpha Hughes in book one of the series. Robbie has never had a real pack to call his own but he quickly finds a home among the misfit band of werewolves, magicians, and humans of the Bennett pack. But a pack like theirs has powerful enemies, and Robbie falls victim to one of them. With no memory of his life with the Bennetts OR his connection to his life mate, Kelly, Robbie needs to learn to trust all over again while facing up to the horrors he's done in the time away.
Angsty queer love! Found family! Epic battle scenes! TJ Klune does not disappoint. I'm not gonna lie, I already have Heartsong and the final book, Brothersong, preordered, so I was extra-excited for this digital ARC.
Character-driven stories are my favorite. And Klune writes incredible, lovable, flawed characters: Robbie and Kelly, Mark and Gordo, Ox and Joe. But there's also a cast of supporting characters that are funny and sincere and clever.
