If someone asked me what I liked so much about this book it would be hard to pin it down. It was, frankly, utterly, destructively amazing. I loved the characters, their attitudes, the plot, and the romance. Gene felt real and his journey and attitude towards his gender was different and felt so personal to me. This book had me almost tearing up over baseball, for cryin’ out loud! Overall, it was a very lovable book, and I hope that Hoffman continues with his writing, because I am one devoted fan.
