This had potential. I mean, it's a queer Pretty Woman retelling, so I was in. Unfortunately, it just didn't hit right for me. Overall, I was entertained enough to keep going and finish it. The premise is great, but the execution could have been better. The writing is good, but the drama and plot felt almost disorganized. There is angst, but at the same time, the tension wasn't there. So it wasn't hitting very hard. The "villains" were a little over the top, and some of their behavior escalated VERY quickly. It just didn't feel like it fit into the situation we were given. I also struggle to believe the ending truly was an HEA. Teddy and Cole's behavior just doesn't make me feel confident that they will last. I also REALLY was not a fan of how Teddy treated Cole the first time they got down to it. I felt rather uncomfortable reading that scene. Yes, he realized his terrible behavior after the fact, but there were signs in the moment that he was just oblivious to. All in all, this just wasn't what I wanted from what I was expecting. It's not the worst, but it's definitely not my favorite. I just wanted more that I didn't get.
