Second chance romances can be kind of hit or miss for me, but oh my, this was a definite hit for me. We finally get a behind the scenes look into Davey and Mack. We have been teased with them throughout this series, so this was the logical conclusion. Davey and Mack are so sweet. Their story is layered and complicated and just full of so many emotions. This story makes you want to laugh and maybe cry. This story really shows how sometimes space is needed in order to grow closer. Self-discovery and self-awareness can lead to deeper emotions and more open communication. Saxon James has done it well. Reading her books is a comfort and feels like coming home. I loved getting to see the DMC one last time. The ending hits right in the feels in the best way. If you love Saxon James and/or the Sadenverse, then definitely check this one out.
