Freedom Is a Constant Struggle: Ferguson, Palestine, and the Foundations of a Movement by Angela Y. Davis

informative inspiring reflective medium-paced

4.0

A collection of speeches and interviews from Angela Y Davis detailing intersectionality through global movements and struggles such as the fight to free Palestine, Ferguson, and prison abolition. Full of many important ideas phrased with clarity and impact. Since this is a collection, some ideas were repetitive. Additionally, not as informative as I expected it to be but rather more of an inspiring book. I hope to read Are Prisons Obsolete? next and get some more insight into the actual movement.
