Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for granting me an ARC.
I loved this book! It was so much fun to get to see our two main characters in a different setting on their mission to find the dragon eggs.
I'll be honest, I wasn't 100% on what was happening for a bit, it really leaned into the cosy, nothing much happening style when normally there would be a lot of action and it threw me off until I got my head round the fact that it is the entire point if cosy fantasy! If you need an action packed read to keep you interested, this is not for you. This is very much character based, and has a lot of time travelling or waiting where we get to bond with the characters and learn to love them.
I laughed out loud so many times to all of the dad jokes and puns, sorry if you're not a fan, I'm an absolute sucker for them.
Spending time with a new cast of characters who I came to really love, and with the addition of the Robin Hood-esque pirate story, I'm actually sad we probably won't see them in the next book.
Overall this was a great continuation and I can't wait for the next book!
