• Strong FMC
• Forbidden Love
• ‘Who Did This to You ?’

The plot is interesting, the mystery and prophecy keeps me interested from the beginning until the end. The writing style is easy to read which makes it easier in envisioning some of the battle scenes and understanding the world building.

This story is told in dual POV, Wilder (MMC) and Althea (FMC).
Most of the story was told from Althea’s POV and I really like her character. I admire her strength and determination in pursuing her dream even though she knows her time is limited.

As for the romance, I’m rooting for both Althea and Wilder from the beginning. I can feel the spark and the high tension between the two of them with the bickering and flirting they throw to one another!

Not only great main characters, the secondary characters are also well developed like Kipp and Cal.
I love the friendship they build with Althea by the way they look out for each other throughout the story. They also liven up the story, especially with Kipp’s story and charming attitude!

Beware of the huge cliff-hanger at the end.
Even though I had my suspicion about something, the plot twist still manage to surprised me. Now I can’t wait to get my hands on book 2!

Overall, this is a well written story and a great start for a fantasy series. It's highly enjoyable, entertaining and I recommend it to fantasy lovers!

I’m looking forward to see what happen next with Althea discovering the truth of her identity and her relationship with Wilder.

Thank you to Paper Myths and the author for giving me an e-ARC of the book and for having me on this book tour. I’m leaving this review voluntarily!
